Lucy is a director working in the UK and Europe in settings ranging from large-scale Opera houses and regional theatres to site specific locations and conservatoires. Lucy took up the post of Resident Director for The National Opera Studio in September 2024.
During 2025 Lucy directed scenes for The Royal Academy of Music, London, and for Guildhall School of Music and Drama. For The National Opera Studio Lucy Directed Act One in residency at Opera North and Baroque Scenes alongside Christian Curnyn at Blackburn Studio, Wandsworth.
During summer 2025 Lucy worked alongside Christopher Luscombe on L'elisir d'amore at Garsington Opera, directing the Opera First performance for secondary schools.
In January 2024 Lucy revived Tosca for The Royal Opera House for the second time and was Associate Director for San Francisco Opera on their production of The Handmaid's Tale by Poul Ruders.
Recent other directing credits include a new version of The Flying Dutchman, for OperaUpClose which toured regionally across the UK in 2023; The Promise, for Handpicked Productions which toured to outdoor venues in July 2023. Lucy was the Associate Director on Nixon in China by John Adams at Teatro Real, Madrid in 2023.
